OMEGA-3 Fatty Acids
Today's health tip- OMEGA-3 Fatty Acids

You've probably heard the word "Omega-3" in the medical news lately. Omega-3s are actually a group of essential fatty acids called DHA, EPA and ALA.
I personally believe that eating the right foods and taking a flax oil supplement will produce many benefits. For musicians it's important to know that omega-3s are very good at helping to stop inflammation. Some sources of Omega-3s include flax seeds or oil, canola oil, broccoli, cantaloupe, kidney beans, spinach, cauliflower and walnuts. I don't recommend using fish oil because of the risk of mercury toxicity. Always talk to your doctor before taking any supplements!

According to Web MD-

"The benefits of omega-3s include reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke while helping to reduce symptoms of hypertension, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), joint pain and other rheumatoid problems, as well as certain skin ailments. Some research has even shown that omega-3s can boost the immune system and help protect us from an array of illnesses including Alzheimer's disease."
