When one plays the violin,
one does not play just one instrument, but rather two—
the violin in one hand, the bow in the other.
Many players admit that the choice of a fine bow is more important than that of the instrument. My goal is to help each player find that bow that has often been described as a ‘magic wand’—a bow that is an extension of the arm, that is responsive, that draws out pure sound, and plays effortlessly.

I am trained not only as a maker of bows, but also as a restorer. Much of my time is spent restoring and reviving bows that have been well played and well loved, but not well-maintained. I would be happy to advise you if you wish to consult me on any maintenance, repair, or restoration issues on your bow.
It is my goal that every bow and every instrument that I work on will play better, sound better, and look better when I am done. It is also my goal to give you the best service possible when working on one of your bows or when assisting you in finding a new one.
